Sundquist Engineering - History and Background
Sundquist Engineering, P.C. was founded in 1990 by Stephen A. Sundquist, P.E. to practice professional consulting civil engineering and land surveying. The land surveying and consulting engineering firm is headquartered in Denison, Iowa, which is located in west central Iowa. Sundquist Engineering also has a branch office located in Onawa, Iowa, which is located in western Iowa along the Missouri River.
The consulting engineering staff and support personnel at Sundquist Engineering have extensive experience in surveying, designing, preparing construction plans, and monitoring and documenting the construction of public infrastructure improvements and private residential and industrial/commercial site developments.
Sundquist Engineering personnel’s civil engineering experience includes public and private client services in the areas of bridge inspection, bridge design, culvert design, highway design, right-of-way plats and negotiations, drainage and levee systems design, drainage reports and studies, wetland development, hydrology and hydraulics, planning, estimating, municipal paving, streambank stabilization design, grade control structure design, sanitary sewer design, storm sewer design, water distribution system design, municipal street design, water main design, wastewater treatment design, airport lighting, airport grading and paving projects, traffic signalization improvements, subdivision layout and design, and parking lot design.
Sundquist Engineering has three licensed land surveyors. The land surveyors are responsible for overseeing the land surveying including field data acquisition and preparation of plats of survey, acquisition plats, and subdivision plats for residential land development. Sundquist Engineering also specializes in ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys.
Sundquist Engineering shows its expertise by doing extensive work in commercial and municipal development. Sundquist Engineering prepares preliminary and final designs for municipal and county roads and highways throughout western Iowa.
